TWO years after he was found guilty of sexually abusing his daughter and fathering three children with her, a Mpumalanga rapist has yet to be sentenced.

On Friday the Nelspruit regional court again postponed the sentencing of the 51-year-old man, who was found guilty on nine counts of rape after sexually abusing his daughter for nine years from the age of 13.

The sentencing was postponed for the 30th time - to June 29.

When Sowetan enquired from the authorities about the reasons for the delay, national prosecuting authority spokesperson Bulelwa Makeke said they were baffled by the postponements.

"We don't know what causes the delay in sentencing him," she said.
