THE two National First Division and Free State-based sides African Warriors and Kroonstad United FC will campaign in the inland stream following a ruling by the Premier Soccer League in Johannesburg yesterday.

This after two Inland Stream clubs Jomo Cosmos and Mpumalanga Black Aces were promoted to the Absa Premiership.

This means that no club has been promoted from the coastal stream to the NFD after Mpumalanga's Batau and Free State's United FC won the inland and coastal streams Vodacom national playoffs respectively.

The two sides had to give way for Bay United and Maritzburg United who were relegated from the elite league.

Kicks' general manager Basil Mohalane said it will be difficult to campaign in the coastal stream despite winning last season's edition.

The inland stream will comprise of African Warriors, Batau FC, Black Leopards, Dynamos, United FC, University of Pretoria and Witbank Spurs, while the coastal stream has Bay United, Kicks, FC Cape Town, Ikapa Sporting, Nathi Lions, Thanda Royal Zulu and Vasco da Gama.
