Deputy chairperson Mxolisi Gumede announced yesterday that elections would take place on June 28 at 10am. The venue is still to be confirmed.
"This is an important process at which interested parties, members of the boxing fraternity, the corporate sector, members of the public and the media are welcome to attend," he said yesterday.
Korda Manqina of Peoples Promotions is chairperson, Future Promotions boss Reggie Hilman is treasurer while Junior Ramovha of Chiawelo Promotions, and Showtime Promotions owner Mbali Zansi are additional members.
"But Mbali has not been with us, and we don't know why. It is rather interesting that outfits such as Knockout Promotions of Dingaan Thobela and Allan Young, and Rainbow Promotions of Pat Molefe are now part of us.
"Mpumalanga Promotions of Paul Tshehla will be co-opted into the two-year-old structure," said Gumede who promotes under the banner of Ethembeni Promotions.
