Proposals are open to artists, researchers, development workers, trainers, thespians, musicians visual artists, dance and health practitioners for a workshop, performance and or exhibition.

The festival will run from August 23 to September 5 and will provide a refreshing opportunity for those working in the field of HIV-Aids to network, share and exchange knowledge.

Application forms can be downloaded from the Drama for Life website and should be submitted by June 30 2009. The website address is www.dramaforlife.co.za.

"The Drama for Life festival is back again and after last year's success the festival is guaranteed to be more inclusive, interactive, genuine and relevant, aiming to bring in a wide range of practitioners from the continent and beyond," say the organisers.

They say: "Drama for Life remains dedicated to building capacity in education, health and cultural development through drama and theatre, with specific reference to the HIV-Aids pandemic. It seeks to inspire communities, introducing con temporary processes while paying respect to the rich indigenous knowledge that belongs to Africa."
