AFRICAN Warriors have put nine players on the transfer as part of their clean-up and preparations for the next season.

Warriors finished third on a eight-team log behind Carara Kicks and FC Cape Town last season.

Club boss Jabu Khumalo indicated that as they are sorting out the club they have been forced to release those players in order to give way for the new blood.

"We believe that the club needs to be reinforced ," Khumalo said yesterday.

The transferred players are General Motsweneng, Jacob Mokhasi, Boiki Mosia, Zakia Mokoanyane, Thiyekile "Ace" Gulwa, Mohlolo Nhlapo, Molefi Loape, Tshepo Gumede and Jury Merahe. Lebajoa Mphongoa has retired from football.

Meanwhile Sundowns said that based on the recommendations of the technical committee led by Trott Moloto and Ted Dumitru, it has decided that Sibusiso Zuma, Collins Mbesuma, Jorge Acuna, Lungisani Ndlela and Shere Lekgothoane will not be part of the club during the 2009/10 season.
