WE MUST be honest that we like socialising, so off we went to the official opening of the Crowne Plaza Johannesburg - The Rosebank Hotel.

WE MUST be honest that we like socialising, so off we went to the official opening of the Crowne Plaza Johannesburg - The Rosebank Hotel.

No we lie, it was the rechristening of the hotel. Had to check that one since we were partying from the moment we arrived in Rosebank. Akulalwa.

We love the hotel, whether you want to call it The Crowne Plaza or The Rosebank. Love the Circle bar, its snack bar that's open until late, the spa as well, as well as free booze at the function.

The function was packed with industry types from the hotel, business elite, models and Crowne Plaza group employees. Interesting people but we are far more in tune with celebrities. You know, we secretly want to be famous.

As usual, the first person I spotted was Suggarsmax, who I'm sure, besides me, will attend the opening of an infant's mouth after it's born. Dude, stay at home! Well I guess it is difficult when you sport a hot model girlfriend, Linda Zungu, and have a complimentary room and it comes with sleep products for quality sleep.

We wonder where Slikour was as they are always together. Anyway, apart from Slikour and his strange name, we also spotted 7de Laan actor Freedom Hadebe in the foyer the next morning, running around like a madman at breakfast. We had to ask him if indeed he was a sangoma as reported and all he could say was: "No and nor have I told anyone I wanted to be one".

Wow! the things folk say. Oh, it amazes me how he looks like Psyfo. I wonder if they are related.

The function started with speeches that we were assured would not be long and boring. After the speeches there was entertainment in the form of a Japanese dancer, four Xhosa dancers and food from all over the globe. The most entertaining man was delicious general manager Trevor. Great rooms, guys. Next time please don't let us two girls share because it's not right.
