Master Cho joins SA side

UNIVERSITY Sports South Africa have shown their seriousness to do well at the World Student Games by roping in the Master Jung Hyun Cho as coach of their taekwondo team.

UNIVERSITY Sports South Africa have shown their seriousness to do well at the World Student Games by roping in the Master Jung Hyun Cho as coach of their taekwondo team.

The biennial games will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, from July 1 to 12. South Africa will be represented by 173 competitors.

Master Cho is a knowledgeable taekwondo coach who was brought to this country by the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee seven years ago.

Meanwhile the tennis team to represent South Africa in the tournament is: Rozanne Clarke, Karin Coetzee, Ghizela Schutte, Wessel Kemp, Boyd Michau, Kyle Parfitt.

Marnus Kleinhans is the coach and Sanpat Coetzee manager. In fencing, South Africa will be represented by Jarryd New, Jacques Viljoen and Mikhail Galukhin (manager).

Turning to gymnastics, the selected athletes are Emrys Farland and Ross Ferguson. Miklo Szabo is the manager of the team.
