Maponyane has moved swiftly to address questions that may be raised by the dual roles he plays.
"I have been in the Platinum Stars board since February, no problems were raised regarding my work with the SABC," Maponyane said.
He said he was charged with finding talent within the North West province. In addition to this, he also has to look after the development structures set up by the Royal Bafokeng Sports, and to create synergy between these and the senior team's technical management.
"I am looking forward to this challenge. It is an area that I have experience in, except that this time around I have to account for my decisions."
