AS PART of preparations for the coming Koma season, a special committee that has been set up to deal with the issue of initiation schools in Limpopo says it has already received 132 applications from three districts.

AS PART of preparations for the coming Koma season, a special committee that has been set up to deal with the issue of initiation schools in Limpopo says it has already received 132 applications from three districts.

The applications are from people who want to operate initiation schools in various parts of the province this year.

According to committee chairperson Kgoshi Vhusani Netshimbupfe, they have already received 44 application from Mopani, 55 from Capricorn and 33 from the Waterberg.

He said they were still waiting for applications from Sekhukhune and Vhembe districts.

He said an initiation season would be expected to start after the third week of this month and would have to be completed by the weekend before academic schools reopened for the third term.-Michael Sakuneka
