A MAN and his wife were arrested in Akasia, Pretoria, yesterday for allegedly producing and distributing fake documents.

A MAN and his wife were arrested in Akasia, Pretoria, yesterday for allegedly producing and distributing fake documents.

Police acted swiftly after they were tipped off about the couple, who were allegedly manufacturing fake driver's licences, identity and asylum documents, said national police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Vish Naidoo.

"The couple's computers were seized. They were found in a residential complex in Akasia."

Naidoo said the unidentified couple would appear in the Pretoria magistrate's court on Monday to face charges of dealing in counterfeitdocuments. - Sapa
