The left-hander holds the WBF flyweight belt.
His promising career was guided by Mnguni through SuperSport. Their contract ended last month.
Tete has now joined the Branco Sports Production stable of promoters Branco Milenkovic and Jacob Matlala.
These two associates work exclusively with SABC. Tete was paraded as an SABC fighter at Auckland Park on Tuesday.
