Cape Judge President John Hlophe and the Judicial Service Commission have not settled their dispute over his hearings, Hlophe's lawyer Barnabas Xulu, said yesterday.

Xulu said the JSC had rejected a demand that they tell Hlophe whether they have seen the contents of an affidavit by complaints committee members George Bizos and Judge Lex Mpati.

Xulu's team willnow prepare a counter-proposal which they hope to finalise by today.

Meanwhile, judgment on Hlophe's attempt to stop the hearings is still pending in the Gauteng South high court in Johannesburg. - Sapa
