WINTER might be upon us, but if the sixth Metro Rail Night of the Legends has its way, the freezing cold might just turn into a sizzling inferno at the Good Hope Centre in Cape Town on Saturday.

The Legends fest at 6pm celebrates the role played by these icons in the music industry. It's no mean feat to put out music that is not only catalogue material or popular, but remains on high rotation for a long time. Besides, it's not every day you have the crème de la crème sharing the same stage on one night.

Intent on chasing the winter blues away with their fine eclectic sounds are popular artistic couple Caiphas Semenya and Letta Mbulu, Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse, Jonas Gwangwa and multi-talented singer Sibongile Khumalo whose debut recording career started late but never stopped her from getting ahead of the pack.

Capetonians have to agree this is one of the most salivating line-ups, that will be remembered long after the last note has sounded.
