Amakhosi linked with Mmboi

KAIZER Chiefs are believed to be interested in the signature of talented Dynamos right-back Milton Mmboi.

KAIZER Chiefs are believed to be interested in the signature of talented Dynamos right-back Milton Mmboi.

Mmboi, who was paraded by Jomo Cosmos as their player last week, apparently impressed Amakhosi's assistant coach Fani Madida and manager Bobby Motaung at the Limpopo Africa Day Soccer Tournament at NkowaNkowa Stadium near Tzaneen on Sunday.

Dynamos won the inaugural event after defeating Gaza All Stars from Mozambique 4-0 in the lop-sided final.

Motaung was cagey when approached to confirm Amakhosi's interest in Mmboi.

"We are here to look at players as part of our recruitment drive and I can't say who impressed us today," he said after the tournament.

Dynamos boss Pat Malabela admitted that four Absa Premiership clubs had made inquiries about Mmboi, but he steadfastly refused to mention their names.

"Milton is still our player and his contract expires in June next year. I can't say anything about Milton joining a Premiership club because we are still to receive an offer for his services," he said.
