Teko "General Rau Rau" Modise crowned his incredible 2008-09 season by winning two major awards at the Premier Soccer League end-of-season function in Johannesburg last night.
Modise was named the PSL Footballer of the Year for the second successive season and Absa Premiership Players' Player of the Season, pocketing R400000.
He got R250000 for the footballer of the year and R150000 for the players' player of the season award.
Modise's teammate Lucas Thwala left with the Premiership player of the season award plus R150000.
SuperSport United's Gavin Hunt won the coach of the season award. United's captain Bongani Khumalo was voted hot young player of the season.
The goalkeeper of the season award went to Free State Stars's Kennedy Mweene. The Lesley Manyathela top goal scorer award went to Richard Henyekane with 19 goals.
