Crime is not only a problem in South Africa but also in the rest of the world.

But the difference is that in South Africa the crime is mostly violent.

This is according to Sergeant Gary Edwards of the Greater Manchester police in Britain, who is visiting SA.

Edwards described KwaZulu-Natal and the rest of the country as facing the same problems as the rest of the world.

"Crime is the same all over the world," Edward said. "You can go to England and people will tell you that there are areas that are no-go areas because of crime, like it is the case here."

Edwards said the only difference between crime South Africa and that in other countries was that in here crime was violent.
