Seleteng Giant Killers look set to return to the top of the Limpopo Softball Association's LimDev Super League log on Sunday.

The reigning champions have a chance to steal a march on log leaders Mahwelereng Spikes, who are not playing this weekend.

Killers face under-performing Ledwaba Giant Elephants, Mamaolo Rebels and Hlakano Dodgers at Hlakano diamonds in Zebediela, near Lebowakgomo.

The marauding GaMphahlele side, mentored by the wily Bushy Mphahlele, open their day's programme against the 10th-placed Elephants at 10am.

They then engage Rebels in a GaMphahlele derby at 12.30pm, before wrapping up their programme against hosts Dodgers at 3pm.

Rebels are ninth on the 12-team log, while Dodgers are eighth.

Killers trail Spikes by three points.

Killers official Irish Mphahlele said, yesterday: "We rightfully belong at the top of the log and are going up there on Sunday.

"We will jealously protect this position until the last match of the season as we are keen to keep the league title in Seleteng at the end of the season."

It is easy to agree with Mphahlele if one considers their talented players, such as Killers Phumulo Phaladi, Matleng Phasha, Tebogo Mapheto and Katlego Molaba.
