Three Lesotho citizens and a farm owner were arrested on dagga charges after a raid on a farm in the Free State, police said yesterday.

Sergeant Malebo Khosana said the Virginia crime prevention unit and the Welkom dog unit descended on the farmGoedbegin after a tip-off and apprehended the three outside the farmhouse on Tuesday afternoon.

A search yielded six-and-a-half bags of dagga worth more than R100000. The three people, in their 20s, could also not produce travel documents. The owner of the house was also arrested and will face a charge of harbouring undocumented people and allowing them to commit a crime on his premises.

All four will appear in the Virginia magistrate's court today. - Sapa
