Boxing champion Malcolm Klassen must wish he was into politics.

Boxing champion Malcolm Klassen must wish he was into politics.

There rewards seem to be fairer there.

Klassen, who knocked out Cassius Baloyi to win the IBF junior lightweight title, was presented with a Nissan Tiida for his sterling efforts.

This happened in the same week that Transport Minister Sbu Ndebele pondered over what to do with a R1,1million car he received from some citizens content with the way he did the job he was employed to do in the first place.

Considering that Klassen literally risks his life each time he gets into the ring, his sponsors could have shown better appreciation for his efforts than to give him a car worth about a R1million less than Ndebele was given.
