While millions of Lotto players will be queueing to try their luck on an estimated R2,5 million jackpot today, a Gauteng Lotto winner has yet to claim a staggering R20 million.

The unknown multimillionaire played on March 28 when the Lotto was celebrating its ninth birthday.

Gidani spokesperson Thembi Tulwana told Sowetan yesterday that more than R24 million in prizes had still to be claimed.

"Last Saturday 18 people shared a jackpot prize of R21,8 million and only 15 came forward to claim an amount of R1,2 million each," Tulwana said.

She said on April 29 a jackpot of R1,3 million was won by someone who bought the ticket in Mpumalanga. The millionaire has not claimed his money.

"Players have 365 days in which they can claim their prizes after that particular draw," she said.
