The Local Organising Committee has roped in the Bloemfontein Celtic duo of Sello Nduna and Khumbulani Konco to help in the media section during the Confederations Cup.

The Local Organising Committee has roped in the Bloemfontein Celtic duo of Sello Nduna and Khumbulani Konco to help in the media section during the Confederations Cup.

Konco, Phunya SeleSele's general manager and the club's publicist Nduna, will serve as Free State Stadium manager and press officer, respectively.

A former Orlando Pirates player, Konco said: "We have been released by the management of the club to serve the country in this big global tournament.

"There is no way our part-time job with the LOC will in any way tamper with the progress of Celtic as the league campaign is over.

"The only challenge for us is that we won't have time to go on holiday, but we cannot turn our backs on our country."

Nduna said: "It's a great honour for the two of us to be part of the Confederations Cup.

"The event is a big tournament where some of the big names such as Kaka, [Fernando] Torres and our own Steven Pienaar will compete."
