Ndaba said the municipality will attain its goal through tournaments such as the Mayor's Cup that was launched at the municipal offices in Ceres at the weekend.
The event, which is sponsored for R50000 by the municipality, will be played yearly.
Ndaba, a former Safa referee, said it was through tournaments like the Mayor's Cup that talented youngsters were exposed.
"My wish is to see this tournament grow in leaps and bounds and help to shop for more talent, which is in abundance in this province," Ndaba said. - Matome Lebea
