Budding soccer player Msizi Mchunu's long-cherished dream to watch his hero Ronaldinho (pictured), from Brazil in action, has come to true.

The 2010 World Cup Local Organising Committee has donated 20 tickets to the four winning schools in the Schools Confederations Cup which took part at Marks Park in Emmarentia, Johannesburg, on Saturday. Mchunu's school African Union was one of the luck school.

The tournament was divided into boys' and girls' categories and schools from nine provinces. The teams adopted names of the eight participating Confederations Cup countries.

Union (KwaZulu-Natal) won the Boys Under-14s division, while the Under-18s trophy went to the United States (North West).

Union won 20 tickets for winning their division and a chance to watch the Confederations Cup match between Brazil and Egypt in Bloemfontein on June 15.

USA will watch Spain and Bafana Bafana in Bloemfontein on June 20.

In the girls section, South Africa (Gauteng) scooped the Under-14s and Iraq (Western Cape) won in the Under-18s.

An excited 13-year-old Mchunu said: "It will be a dream come true to watch my hero Ronaldinho."

The two-day tournament at the weekend, which was well-attended, was part of the My 2010 School Adventure campaign.
