Winile Ntshangase, who was a dedicated teacher and loving mother, was murdered on Tuesday last week.

Her body was found inside a house that she was in the process of selling in Eskhaleni.

A couple pretending to buy the house allegedly kidnapped her after they asked her to drive them to the bank to withdraw the money to pay the house.

She was a teacher at Ingwemnyama Primary School at Maphophoma in KwaNongoma.

Ntshangase was a true educator with a passion for teaching, qualities which were evident in her at a young and tender age.

Teachers who worked with her have described her as a beautiful soul and a wonderful mother who loved her children and treated all pupils in her classroom as her own.

"Her tragic death has left a hole that will take a lifetime to fill," said Xolani Mthethwa, a National Teachers Union official.

"Our teachers are important, they all have a different touch and provide a unique contribution to our society."

Her school principal, Winnie Zulu, said Ntshangase "went out of her way to assist pupils experiencing problems with their studies and often visited them at home".

Ntshangase leaves behind her husband and three children aged nine, six, and two years.

She will be buried tomorrow at 2pm after a church service at her home at 10am.
