The South African Football Players Union, in collaboration with the Johan Cruyff Academic Institute, the University of Johannesburg and the ministry of sport, will host a workshop for professional football players at the University of Johannesburg on May 20.

The institute, which belongs to the former Dutch and Barcelona star and later manager, will educate players and former players on how to identify and overcome the transition from sport to an economically viable career.

It will guide players step by step through a personal assessment process and help them to create an action plan to achieve success on and off the field. - Sowetan
