Residents in Limpopo are angry about the government's failure to electrify their villages.

The Moroke and GaMalokela villagers in the Sekhukhune district say several efforts to engage the government over the provision of electricity have been in vain.

A villager, Elson Masete, said they had complained several times through memorandums but received no assistance.

Greater Sekhukhune district municipality spokesperson Sizwe Yende yesterday saidR17million was allocated last financial year to help Eskom speed up the provision of electricity to villagers.
