Nachito is a registered chartered accountant and has had extensive experience in the field of financial management at executive level.
The father of two from Durban will take up his new position from next month.
Gold Circle joint chairman John Bescoby welcomed Nachito to the board of directors.
He said this appointment was an important step forward in the company's restructuring process.
"With the recent appointment of racing director Graeme Hawkins, and the appointment of Nachito, the process of appointing the commercial and operations director will now proceed.
"This will complete the first phase of the restructuring, and these three directors will be charged with rationalising and restructuring their respective divisions with a view to becoming more efficient and financially viable under the current trading conditions," Bescoby said.
"We are confident that we are well on our way to ensuring that the restructuring of our operations will put us in a better position to face the challenges ahead, to survive the current economic downturn and to emerge as a stronger organisation," he added.
