Cope in KwaZulu-Natal said they expected President Jacob Zuma to focus on critical aspects, including reducing unemployment, and fighting crime and corruption in his first 100 days.
Provincial spokesperson Siyanda Mhlongo congratulated Zuma on "his election to the highest office in the land".
"His commitment to respect and to uphold the Constitution is appreciated by Cope KZN where we have seen many attempts to subvert the rule of law.
"Part of respecting the Constitution and its values is to ensure that nobody, irrespective of the office he or she holds, is above the law," said Mhlongo.
He said they were encouraged that Zuma would let truth dictate to his conscience.
"In the next 100 days, we expect Nxamalala to map a way forward to fight job losses, corruption, cronyism and inefficiencies," he said.
