After a hard-fought season that saw them reclaim the Absa Premiership title, SuperSport United players will be smiling all the way to the bank.
The club's management confirmed that the players will share R5million for winning the championship, as promised during the season.
Matsatsantsa a Pitori won a cool R10 million for winning the championship.
David Skosana, United's publicist, said yesterday: "Our players are well aware that there is R5 million waiting for them to share for winning the league.
"Those who were with us last season when we won the Premiership title for the first time can attest to the fact that bonuses were given to them.
"I can't tell exactly how much they will be sharing as individuals because as management we still have to work it out."
United and Orlando Pirates, who finished second on the log, have also qualified to represent South Africa at the 2010 African Champions League.
The two sides finished on 55 points but United edged Pirates on goal difference.
United will tour various townships and suburbs of Tshwane this afternoon to parade the prized trophy.
The victory parade will start at 12.30pm at Halala Shops in Soshanguve and proceed to Mabopane station.
"Our schedule is a bit tight, we will also be going to Atleng mall in Atteridgeville at 1.45pm and Danneboom station in Mamelodi at 2.45pm," Skosana said.
"The victory parade will end at 4pm where we will also have Rhythmic Elements and DJ Glen Lewis entertaining people at Church Square in town.
"Our captain Bongani Khumalo and chairman Khulu Sibiya will also be there to present the trophy to the mayor of Tshwane, councillor Gwen Ramokgopa."
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs have congratulated United for winning the league and Jomo Cosmos for returning to the top flight.
"Winning the league is something else but when you go all out and defend it, it's special. We did it in the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons when we won back-to-back league titles," said club boss Kaizer Motaung.
"Orlando Pirates gave all they could and were beaten in the last minute. I congratulate them for retaining the second spot."
