Tow truck companies are 'vultures'

A resident brought me a pamphlet from their post box advertising a R600 reward from a tow trucking company for anyone who reports a traffic collision that results in a successful tow.

In March 2005 a man was caught deliberately tampering with traffic signals at the behest of local tow truck companies so that he could collect such a reward.

The tow truck companies might have short memories but we don't. I would hate to see a repeat of that criminal enterprise.

Tow truck companies make a quick buck off one of the most painful days of someone's life. As a matter of fact those involved in accidents usually refer to the tow truck vehicles that arrive as vultures. V ultures at least wait for the carcass rather than killing the prey.
