The university offers a programme designed to empower taxi owners with business and management skills.
About 60 taxi owners attended the course from May last year and graduated last Thursday at the UJ Soweto campus.
"I am very proud to have attended the course," said Seduku, a member of the Nancefield Dube West Taxi Association.
"It is the first time that a course has been offered for the taxi industry."
The course was designed by the university in collaboration with taxi bodies such as Top Six and the Greater Johannesburg Regional Taxi Council to equip taxi operators with small business management skills.
