Controversial Teazers strip club owner Emmanuel "Lolly" Jackson appeared annoyed after the case of assault against him was postponed yet again in the Randburg magistrate's court yesterday.

Jackson faces a charge of assault after a former employee at his Rivonia strip club brought charges against him in April last year.

The worker accused Jackson of shooting him a dozen times with rubber bullets. Jackson has denied this, saying that the worker was angry because he had been fired.

Yesterday was the seventh time that the case has been postponed.

Jackson's lawyer Kenny Oldadge told the court "it is not entirely clear what the state wants ... It took them five months to give me the charge sheet".

Oldadge questioned whether his client would have a fair trial after the court was told of a missing docket.

Magistrate Jansen van Rensburg agreed it was "evident that the state was dragging its feet in supplying evidence" but said the case had not been compromised.

The case was postponed to July 21.
