Orlando Pirates spokesperson Mickey Modisane has no doubt that tickets for the Soweto derby against Kaizer Chiefs will be sold out before the 4pm kickoff at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Modisane disclosed yesterday that 33000 of the 55000 tickets were snapped up before 4pm yesterday.

But Modisane is still busy with the roadshow to convince more people to buy tickets for the match.

The roadshow is also an educational drive to teach soccer followers to get used to buying tickets early.

The match is highly anticipated and, once again, it is likely to be a nail-bitting affair.

People from neighbouring countries such as Lesotho, Botswana and Swaziland are also expected to attend as they normally do.

"It's all systems go and we can't wait for the big day on Saturday," said Modisane yesterday. "We are not relaxing because of the impressive ticket-sales, but are continuing with our roadshow. We are also using the roadshow to educate the fans about how to handle themselves before, during and after the match.

"We spread the gospel of good behaviour at the stadium. People are also informed about things like park-and-ride and the seating arrangement at the stadium."

Pirates also give people T-shirts and vuvuzelas at their roadshow, courtesy of their sponsor Vodacom.

They will be visiting Sammy Marks Square in Pretoria today between 1pm and 4pm, before going to the Tembisa Plaza between 1pm and 4.30pm tomorrow.

Jabulani Mall in Soweto will be their next stop on Thursday between 11am and 1pm, before visiting Carlton Centre between 1.30pm and 5pm on the day.

Modisane said fans will get a chance to buy colour-coded tickets.

He said the West Lower, West Upper and East Lower sections will be for The Ghost, while the East Upper will be for Chiefs fans. The northern and southern stands are neutral.

Bez Valley, Wits west campus and Nasrec Gate 2 are areas for park-and-ride that will start at 10am, an hour after the gates open at Ellis Park.

Meanwhile, an out-of-sorts Ajax Cape Town host Platinum Stars at Newlands Stadium at 7.30pm in the only league match today.
