Players from South Africa's five rugby franchises dominate both the lists of points and try scorers in the Super 14 competition.

Wingers Henno Mentz (Lions) and JP Pietersen (Sharks) share the top spot as top try-scorers with three others who have all scored six tries.

When Bulls flyhalf Morne Steyn slotted the early conversion of Derick Kuun's first try against the Chiefs at Loftus on Saturday, he became the first player to reach the century mark this season.

His 18 points on Saturday saw him climb to 116 points and retain his position as leading points scorer. Steyn has scored one try and kicked 18 conversions, 21 penalties and four drop goals. South African players fill five of the top nine slots.

The Bulls's Wynand Olivier and Pierre Spies, Jaque Fourie (Lions) and Jongi Nokwe (Cheetahs) have all scored five tries, giving South African players six of the top 13 try-scoring spots. - Sapa
