Button, 29, said he suffered a burn to the top of his left buttock due to an extremely hot electrical box that generated great heat in the ambient air temperature of 37 degrees Celsius.
"Wow, that was hot," said the Briton after his third win of the season. "It was really hot. All the boxes around my seat were burning. I burnt the top of my left buttock on an electrical box. It's a little bit burnt. Hopefully we can solve that issue."
After four season-opening races in Australia, Malaysia, China and Bahrain, Button leads the title race by 12 points ahead of his Brawn GP teammate Brazilian Rubens Barrichello.
He said he expected a tougher battle when the teams return to Europe for the Spanish Grand Prix in two weeks, but also hoped for more new parts for his car.
He said: "To come away with the win at this point of the season, well, I am chuffed to bits. "The whole team should be very proud of themselves. They have worked so hard.
"The key for me was passing Lewis Hamilton early on and then doing everything right. The chance came up of getting past Lewis because in the last corner he made a mistake and I got alongside him on the straight.
"I knew as soon as we got to the start-finish line he would push his KERS button, and he did, and he pulled away again. I then jumped in behind and I managed to get him into turn one. It was that that made the race.
"We have an upgrade for Barcelona - I just hope it's enough, but we have to wait and see because nobody knows. The thing is we can't go testing, so we don't get a chance to get a feel for things.
"So it's exciting going to Europe, and I think for Formula One, this is great. There's so much change in the sport, and going to Europe there's going to be more change. It's what the sport needed and I think we've got it." - Sapa-AFP
