The brand-new Majimbos squad are in neighbouring Gaborone, Botswana, to take part in the Four Nations Cup this weekend.
Countries taking part in the tournament are Ghana, Lesotho, South Africa and hosts Botswana.
The event starts at the Independence Stadium today and ends on Sunday.
Caretaker coach Solly Luvhengo will use this tournament to start his preparations for the 2011 African Under-17 Championships qualifiers.
Assisted by the equally knowledgeable development coach Mandla Mazibuko, Luvhengo and his charges left for Gaborone yesterday.
"We were supposed to leave for Gaborone on Tuesday but could not because of the general elections, we wanted to afford all members of the team an opportunity to vote," Luvhengo said.
"The new team that we have assembled consists of players that we identified at various games and competitions around the country.
"It's a team of boys born in 1994, but we still have three from the previous Majimbos side who will help us a great deal in Gaborone with their international experience."
Luvhengo, who is expected to be formally appointed coach soon, has retained Keenon Dlignaut, Tshepo Diphoko and Paseka Sekese. Dlignaut is from SuperSport United development, Tshepo from Orlando Pirates and Sekese from Transnet Football School of Excellence.
"It's a points system tournament in Botswana. We are looking forward to it and will do our utmost to maintain our winning rhythm," said Mazibuko.
In their last outing, Majimbos won the inaugural Human Rights International Cup at the revamped George Thabe Stadium in Sharpeville in March.
They achieved the feat in incredible fashion without conceding a goal, beating Lesotho 3-0, Swaziland 4-0 and Botswana 6-0.
