As far as smiles go Zizo Beda's is a winner by far. Pleasantly friendly she has no trace of the diva antics that one expects from a beauty queen.

As far as smiles go Zizo Beda's is a winner by far. Pleasantly friendly she has no trace of the diva antics that one expects from a beauty queen.

Crowned Miss Teen South Africa days after she turned 18 in 2006, her life has been an exciting adventure.

After her reigning year which was spent travelling throughout the country, Zizo was invited to the electrifying YoTv set.

"I was surrounded by lots of professional people so I learnt a lot and got a good basis for a career in television."

After the whirlwind ride on the kaleidoscopic YoTv set came Selimathunzi.

"I remember watching Selimathunzi when I was younger so I was intimidated at first," she says.

In no time, however, she began to see it more as a challenge and learning experience.

"I get to learn how to speak different languages, travel and do different things - it is really diverse. I also enjoy meeting new people and we do a lot of that."

Today she faces the task of picking the perfect tissue brand.

First in line is the trusty Kleenex brand of tissues. "It's nice and large. Thick, very soft but it doesn't have much texture and that's good for your nose. I also like how it has no fluff - that's important if you have allergies."

Next is the Clicks white tissues. "These are very soft, but not neatly cut. This tissue is too easy to tear so it wouldn't be my first choice."

Up next are the Twinsavers. "I used to love these in primary school. I used to jump for my favourite colour first.

That is the only good thing she has to say about Twinsavers . "I don't like how you can't pull out more than one at a time. It actually feels like toilet paper, but it doesn't flake and that's good."

The last box she examines is from Woolworths. "I like the box, it would fit in perfectly in my bathroom. This tissue is quite strong, that's good, that way your snot won't come through the tissue," she says.

Her verdict: "The Kleenex wins it. I love how they also come in little packs as well. - Keitumetse Segoai
