Prominent businesswoman Anna Mokgokong had an honorary doctorate bestowed on her by the University of South Africa at their annual graduation ceremony.
The degree in business management was conferred on her yesterday for her "entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated leadership capabilities within the corporate sector and corporate citizenship".
In 1995 Mokgokong was co-founder of the Community Investment Holdings, a 100percent black-owned company with diverse interests from technology and communications to mining and energy.
