This tactic is aimed at frightening South Africans that the ANC is a monster that should not be trusted.
The party has been governing for the last five years with a two-thirds majority without interfering with the Constitution or abusing her majority to the detriment of South Africa.
What will change this time?
Is it because Jacob Zuma will be at the helm of government and opposition parties have, with the collusion of some in the ANC, failed to persecute and bring the ANC president down? Is that the crux of the "Stop Zuma" campaign?
Opposition parties must concentrate on their role of opposing the government and stop playing dirty politics and negative campaigning.
Whether the ANC gets a two-thirds majority or not, it will be the government. So, opposition parties must concentrate on campaigning for the left-overs that the ANC will not need, if they wish to be official opposition parties. There is no threat to our democracy. The ANC has solidified it in the last 15 years and cannot turn around and demolish it.
