Shosholoza Meyl's corporate affairs manager Tu Dlamini said yesterday that 59 additional trains were arranged to cater for the demand during the Easter period.

Shosholoza Meyl's corporate affairs manager Tu Dlamini said yesterday that 59 additional trains were arranged to cater for the demand during the Easter period.

"We had an aggressive media campaign to encourage passengers to book and buy their tickets in advance," said Dlamini.

"We apologise for any inconvenience due to the late departure and conditions on board," she said.

"Corrective action will be taken to avoid a recurrence," Dlamini said.
