Cope Western Cape premier candidate Allan Boesak hit the nail on the head yesterday when criticising the DA's recently-launched "Stop Zuma" campaign, saying it "reeks of swart gevaar tactics".

Boesak should have made the same observation about the tone of the DA's campaign aimed at stopping the ANC from winning a two-third's majority in the elections.

DA leader Helen Zille's latest battle cry is no different from her party's controversial "fight back" campaign of the 1990s, when it appeared to appeal to whites to help stop "the swart gevaar". Only Zille is convinced that the ANC is geared to use a two-thirds majority victory to change the Constitution.

Will the DA ever come to the party?
