PSL chairman Irvin Khoza will today take their Botswana counterparts through the process of establishing a well administered structure envied by the corporate world.
Representatives of the Botswana Premier League are in the country for a series of meetings with the PSL and some of its affiliates.
The delegation is led by the league's chairman Mike Molefe, general manager Phuthego Stete and marketing expert Bernard Mamelodi.
Mamelodi, younger brother of Fifa development affairs manager for east and southern Africa, is in charge of a company marketing the Botswana Premier League.
On their arrival in the country yesterday, the delegation watched the Absa Premiership match between Bidvest Wits and SuperSport United at Milpark Stadium in the evening.
They were part of the pre-match planning meeting as part of their mission to learn from big brother the PSL, one of the top 10 best leagues in the world in terms of sponsorship.
Assisting other leagues on the African continent to grow is one of the 2010 World Cup legacy projects for the PSL.
Towards the end of last year, the PSL hosted a delegation from Nigeria's Premier League who were also here on a learning curve.
Khoza has said they want to help other leagues to attract sponsorship so African players do not leave for greener pastures.
Besides sponsorship and security matters, the PSL and Botswana's Premier League will also deal with administration, finance, dispute resolution, marketing, media and broadcasting.
