Opposition parties blame the ANC for the decline in public confidence for politicians.
During a heated debate yesterday the parties also accused the ANC of running the country by corruption and cronyism.
Copesaid the public had lost confidence in politicians because "over 1000 ANC MPs are currently facing various criminal charges".
The DA said the ANC was running a "closed crony society" which cares for the ANC only
However, the ANC rejected the attacks, saying the people "had confidence" in the party because they had voted it into power in past elections.
