Top artists and amateur entertainers joined the communities of Mafikeng and surrounding villages in North West during the 12th annual Stop Crime Drama Festival recently.

This brainchild of Dramatists Against Crime, directors Martin Koboekae and Julian Seleke Mokoto, is supported by nation-building partners Absa Foundation, Sowetan and the North West sports, arts and culture department.

It encourages youngsters to write, direct and act in their own plays that have to carry a strong anti-crime theme. Presley Chweneyagae's Cell No. 4 took the Best Production accolade.
