Politicians are expected to flock to two factions of the Zion Christian Church headquarters this weekend to try and attract voters and to get blessings for the upcoming elections.
Thousands of Zionists from both ZCC churches - that of Barnabas Lekganyane and Engenas Lekganyane - will descend on Moria in Limpopo, starting from tonight, to listen to Easter messages from their bishops.
The churches are the biggest on the continent, with Barnabas's ZCC boasting millions of followers.
Both churches confirmed yesterday that a number of high-ranking officials from different political parties would be attending their services.
With elections just around the corner, politicians are using every platform they can to woo supporters.
Both ZCC's headquarters are situated in Boyne, near Polokwane, and are only separated by a fence. Both bishops are grandsons of church founder Engenas Lekganyane, who established the church in 1924.
The church was initially based in Lekganyane's home village of Thabakgone, and was officially registered as a church in 1942.
