It's all systems go for the annual Easter pilgrimage at the headquarters of the ZCC in Moria, Limpopo, as the church prepares to host millions of congregants from across the country.

As is the norm, most roads will be filled with cars heading for the pilgrimage that starts tomorrow and ends on Sunday.

People from as far as Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein and neighbouring countries are expected to come in numbers to celebrate Easter by performing the church's ritual of observing the injunctions during the long weekend.

The church, believed to be visited by about six million congregants during Easter, has said it would not give politicians a platform from which to campaign.

"The church council has decided to refrain from engaging in any political activities by allowing politicians to campaign elsewhere and not in the church," said a source.

He said any politician visiting the church during "this Easter would be coming in his or her capacity as a congregant".
