The ANC plans to use the official opening of aschool in Limpopo for its electioneering campaign.

Sevengwana Comprehensive School, which cost R48million to build, in N'wamitwa in the greater Tzaneen municipality is set to be opened five days before the elections by President Kgalema Motlanthe and other minsters.

Provincial education department spokesperson Ndo Mangala declined to comment.

Several parties have criticised the move, saying the ANC is using a state service as an electioneering gimmick.

Cope said workers were forced to work around the clock to make the opening possible.
