This year's Metropolitan under-19 Cup is Limpopo property.

Limpopo beat hosts KwaZulu-Natal 4-3 on penalties on Saturday at SJ Smith Stadium in Lamontville, Durban after the game ended 2 all.

A great strike - arguably the goal of the tournament - by Khuludi Phago, equalising for Limpopo, took the game into extra time.

Tshepo Mothiba had put Limpopo 1-0 with a second minute goal but tournament's top scorer Mazwi Mncube leveled for KwaZulu-Natal. Thabani Masango made it 2-1 for the home team before half time.

Defending champions Gauteng, who lost to the runners up, took bronze beating Eastern Cape 5-0 in the losers' final.

Limpopo's Abele bagged coach of the tournament while Gauteng's Vusimusi Nemeka was named player of the tournament and Mpumalanga's Zama Dlamini, won the keepers' prize.
