Camir Ahmed Saheketi was attacked near his home in Mogadishu's northern Yakshid district.
"They opened fire on his car, leaving his driver dead and he was rushed to hospital," lawmaker Ibrahim Isak said.
It was unclear who was behind the attack, but hardline Islamists opposed to the government of President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed have repeatedly targeted officials in recent weeks. - Sapa-AFP
