Sixteen amateur soccer teams from Meadowlands and surrounding townships will compete for a R15000 grand prize in the Ndofaya Easter Challenge from April 10-13.

This inaugural tournament takes place at the Outline, Zone 9 grounds. Organiser Barbington Moloi said the Easter tournament follows a similar, wildly successful Christmas one they had.

"We responded to the call of the community, who were impressed with how the December tournament went," said Moloi.

The runners-up will take home R5000, and they and the winners get sets of jerseys for the whole. The registration fee is R1000.

Moloi said there will be place allocated for members of the community to sell their wares at the grounds.

The draw will be conducted at Sedibeng Zone 10 on Saturday at 1pm.
